GENERAL

1. SYNC. Festival ("the Event") is organised by Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore) ("Tzu-Chi"), as the Event Owner, in collaboration with Xperio Pte Ltd (the "Event Organiser"), which has been engaged to assist with the planning and execution of the Event. The Event shall take place in accordance with these Rules & Regulations, which are applicable to all Participants and can be found on the Official Website at www.syncfestival.sg.
2. Completion of the online entry form confirms the Participants' agreement to abide by the relevant Rules & Regulations of the Event. These Rules & Regulations apply at all times and include any decisions or rulings made by the Event Organiser.
3. The Participant agrees to: (i) provide true, accurate, current, and complete information in the registration form (the "Registration Data"); and (ii) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to ensure it remains true, accurate, current, and complete.
4. The Event Organiser and Tzu-Chi may contact the Participant via email, text messages, and/or phone calls when necessary. Any notice sent to the email address or mobile number registered with the Event Organiser shall be deemed received by the Participant.
5. If the Participant provides any information that is false, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, or if the Event Organiser has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is false, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, the Event Organiser may suspend or terminate the Participant's registration and refuse any and all future use of the Official Website (or any parts thereof), resolved through arbitration, conducted in Singapore in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
6. The Event Organiser and Tzu-Chi reserve the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or other media records of the Event for the purposes of administering, organising, and promoting current or future events in relation to the Event.
7. The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations at any time without prior notice or explanation.

REGISTRATION

1. The Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event at any time if necessary, without prior notice to the Participant. In such cases, the Event Organiser will make reasonable efforts to inform Participants in advance. If the Event is postponed, there will be no refund. If the Event is cancelled, participants may be eligible for a partial refund or alternative arrangements at the Event Organiser's discretion. The Event Organiser will not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
2. The Event Organiser reserves the right to determine the fees for different categories as deemed appropriate for its intents and purposes.
3. Once the registration form has been duly processed, no refunds will be provided to Participants who do not take part in the Event for any reason.
4. The Event Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entry to restricted areas without providing any explanation.
5. The Event Organiser shall not be held responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.
6. Participants below 18 years of age must obtain parental or guardian consent and complete the required indemnity form during online registration. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry to the Event.
7. Participants below 3 years of age may register for the Event free of charge.

THE EVENT

1. The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event route at any time, as deem necessary for the safety of Participants and to mitigate potential hazards, without prior notice. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to inform Participants in advance. The Event Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
2. Participants must wear their assigned number bib at all times during the Event. Participants without the assigned number bib will not be permitted to take part in the Event.
3. The Event Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the Event in the case of inclement weather. If adverse weather conditions persist after the delay, the Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Event without providing a refund of registration fees.
4. Participants can choose from two categories:
   • Fam. Walk – A non-competitive 3km walk with staggered start times, beginning and ending at the same location.
   • Youth Quest (Ages 15 – 35) – A team-based Amazing Race in the vicinity of Yishun, where teams of 2-4 participants starts simultaneously but follow different routes leading to various point of interest, finishing at the same location.
5. The Event Organiser shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage if Participants choose to exit the Walk at any point during the Event.
6. No pets, or any form of wheeled transport, including inline skates, prams, push cars, or shoes with built-in or attached rollers, are allowed on the course during the Event, except for official and medical vehicles.
7. Baggage depository services will be provided on the event day. However, the Event Organiser shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage whether personal or otherwise, to deposited belongings. For security reasons, the Event Organiser reserves the right to inspect any deposited items or baggage if deemed necessary.

SAFETY & MEDICAL ADVISORY

1. Whilst the Event Organiser will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of Participants, participation is at the Participants' own risk. the Event Organiser, its sponsors, and appointed officials shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage, including death, howsoever arising.
2. The Event Organiser reserves the right to remove any Participant deemed physically incapable of continuing the Event to prevent potential harm or injury to themselves or others.
3. Participants are strongly encouraged to undergo a medical checkup and/or consult a medical professional before registering and prior to the Event day.
4. For safety reasons, Participants are advised to follow the designated routes and observe all traffic regulations.

CANCELLATION

1. After registration, no refunds will be provided to Participants who do not take part in the Event for any reason.
2. Participants are strictly prohibited from transferring their Event entries to another party once their registration is confirmed.

WAIVER

In this Release and Waiver, "I", "me", and "my" refer to the Participant. In consideration of the acceptance for participation in the Event:

1. I confirm that I have read and understood the Sync. Festival Rules & Regulations and agree to comply with all terms and conditions, including any amendments made from time to time.
2. I declare that my participation in the Event is entirely voluntary, and I fully acknowledge and accept all associated risks, including but not limited to injury (including permanent injury) or loss of life. I take full responsibility for these risks.
3. I declare as a condition of entry into the Event that:
   • I have undertaken appropriate and sufficient training for the Event;
   • I am not aware of any physical disability, injury, illness, or other medical conditions that may affect my safety or physical well-being, or result in injury or death during or as a consequence of participating in the Event;
   • I am medically and physically fit to participate in the Event; and
   • All information provided in my registration is true, accurate, current, and complete, and I will update it as necessary.
4. I declare and agree on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and personal representatives that to the maximum extent permitted by law to waive, release and discharge the Event Organiser, its sponsors, appointed officials, employees, board members, contractors, agents, volunteers, and medical personnel ("Event Personnel") from any and all claims, suits, demands, or legal proceedings, howsoever arising, including but not limited to those based on negligence, breach of contract, or breach of statute. This waiver and release include claims related to death, injury, damage, or loss suffered as a result of my participation in the Event and shall be legally binding and enforceable as a defence in any legal action.
5. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Event Personnel against any and all losses, costs (including legal fees on a full indemnity basis), claims, damages, or expense incurred directly or indirectly as a result of my breach of the Event Terms and Conditions.
6. I consent to receiving communications, notices, marketing, advertising, and promotional materials from the Event Organiser or its appointed vendors via post, email, SMS, or other communication channels.
7. If the Participant is under 18 years of age, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor Participant. I make all declarations, consents, and agreements for both myself and the minor Participant, including their heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and personal representatives.
